Report: Pacers rookie Stephenson arrested

08/15/2010 - New York, NY (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Indiana Pacers rookie guard Lance Stephenson has reportedly been arrested for pushing his girlfriend down a flight of stairs.

According to the New York Daily News, Stephenson, 19, pushed Jasmine Williams down a stairwell in her Brooklyn apartment around 5 a.m. (et) Saturday morning. He was arrested later in the day.

Williams apparently had to be treated at a hospital for head and neck injuries after tumbling down 10 steps.

Stephenson, who played one season at Cincinnati, was noted for his off-the- court issues coming into this year's NBA Draft. He was reportedly charged with third-degree assault and is awaiting arraignment.

Stephenson was the 40th selection of this year's draft after spending one season with Cincinnati. He was the Pacers' summer league team's second-leading scorer with 14.8 points per game in four contests.

In his lone season with the Bearcats, Stephenson averaged 12.3 points in 34 contests.

Another bet across all major team sports including football, basketball, baseball, and hockey involves wagering on the amount of scoring in a game, called an Over/Under total. For example, the Over/Under total on Super Bowl XXXIX was 48, which means a bettor could wager whether there would be more or less than 48 points scored by both teams combined in the game.

For example, a 6-point teaser would move the line on a 7-point favorite from -7 to -1, meaning the team would have to cover 6 less points.
